Mary Bonner with thoughts on Advent and waiting.

Advent – a time of waiting

wait (verb): to look forward to eagerly

“Advent: the time to listen for footsteps – you can’t hear footsteps when
you’re running yourself.”

Bill McKibben

“I am hunkering down right now. I don’t know where I am. This year has been hard. I have not lived this year as I wanted to; I have had to live this year as I needed to with all that has been going on.”

A friend shared these words with me a few weeks ago. 2016 has been a hard year for her and her family.

We are halfway through the Advent season. Waiting can be hard and certainly most of the time it isn’t something we enjoy. Yet, waiting can be a gift.

I’m at GraceTable today sharing some thoughts on hard seasons and waiting. Please join me over there.

I am also sharing an easy Mac n Cheese recipe over there too!
