It has been a MOST interesting day! I got up at 3:45 a.m. eastern time (my alarm was set for 4 a.m., but I woke up before it went off) and got ready to leave home at 4:30 a.m. so John could drop me at the airport by 5 a.m. for my 6 a.m. flight to California. All was going well…no security lines, at the gate on time, boarded the plane and took off…this was the picture out my window. It was so pretty. I have never taken a picture with my iPhone and when I e-mailed it to myself it arrived as a .bmp file, so I hope you can see it.
It was really pretty. A little later I took a picture of the clouds…white and puffy…they looked just like cotton candy.
Anyway…the weather was bad in Chicago and we were diverted to Madison, Wisconsin to refuel and wait for the weather to clear in Chicago. Keep in mind my ultimate destination was/is Ontario, California!! After missing my connection in Chicago – we finally landed there about 90 minutes late – my airline kindly re-booked me on flights…leaving tomorrow!! Fortunately, I was able to use one of those self-serve kiosks and re-book myself on flights today…BUT…I had to fly to Bismarck, ND, then to Denver, CO and then to Ontario.
I am currently in the Bismarck airport. It is different than any airport I have ever been in, I think. I even asked the girl in the gift shop if this was the WHOLE airport…she smiled and said, “yes, it is small.” But…the sun is shining, the sky is blue and I hear there is no bad weather at the Denver airport…so all is going OK. Things could be A LOT worse!!
Lord, thank you for safe travels thus far, for trained airline crews, for helpful people in the airport and at the ticket desks.
I hope your day is going well…I don’t even know if anyone will read this…I have never posted this late in the day!! Smiles and blessings….
I love that picture!
Hope you have a great day, Mary!
Oh, Mary! What a day indeed! You will be so ready for your head to hit the pillow when you get to California. The good news is that California is so beautiful that you will certainly enjoy the weather and the company with your sister and son.
Praying for you as you spend time with those you love.

The picture is gorgeous–maybe I need an IPhone.
Sure hope the rest of your travels are safe and sound and you get to your destination swiftly.
Love your upbeat attitude. Many people would be "chomping at the bits" by now.
Have a great time.
Love,
D.
