I am trying to get going this morning, but it isn’t working too well.  I slept until 6:30 a.m.!!!  I rarely sleep that late AND I am working today…another rarity.
Yesterday one of the readings came from Jeremiah 17.  Verses 7 and 8 read: “But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.  He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”  (NIV) The priest gave a beautiful and very true homily about true happiness coming from inside; having spiritual roots that go deep.  I am reminded of this.  Where am I putting my roots?  Where did I teach my son to put his roots?  Where my roots are will indicate how I manage in life…Lord, please help me to keep my roots grounded in your living waters.  Help me to see that while I do not understand, I need to trust that you know what is best.  Keep me focused on finding your will for my life.  Thank you for the sunshine and a wonderful husband that loves me, even when I am difficult. Thank you for all the ways you have blessed me.
Have a wonderful Monday.
Peace & Blessings……..
