Today’s word is BRAVE…
GO
I read the word Brave and wonder, Is that me? No. most certainly not.
I am not brave.
I repeat…I am NOT BRAVE.
I like order.
I like to know what is going on.
I like to know what is around the bend.
I do not like to be in the dark about things.
Basically, I like control. Except I don’t get to be in control. I am not in charge. I don’t get to know what is around the bend.
God has no plan B for my life. Ask Holley. She said it in her book You’re Already Amazing!
You know what, she is right. I am OK. I am amazing. I CAN DO THIS with HIS help!
I can be brave enough to step out of my box and walk down the path. With His help.
I can put myself out there and see what happens.
I can be brave. Because He is enough and He said I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
And HE is in control. He is in charge.
Have you read Holley’s book? It will give you courage and strength to complete the race. To walk the path He has for you. Check out my review and giveaway here.
STOP
Holley’s book is incredible. I am now re-reading it to absorb more of the goodness.
Have you read it? What do you think?
You like order and control? We must be twins separated at birth! I enjoyed your post.
Hi neighbor…Oh I can relate…within my own self I am not brave…but I am too so thankful…because of Him living inside us we can be bold…brave and let go of control because He can be trusted…I will have to check out the book…blessings~
oh, I have the sneaking suspicion you are far more brave than you think…can't wait to read Holley's book too.
Yeah, I don't think I'm tackling this writing prompt. Being brave is definitely not me. I've seen God give me bravery in the moment, when needed, but I'm not sure it's ever going to be a defining characteristic of my life.
I too like order and control. Could be my middle names. 🙂
Thanks for your kind comments at JessieGunderson.com
I have not read this book but it looks like a wonderful one for the women's ministry I'm a part of. I will suggest it.
I almost started my post on "brave" by saying, "I was born not brave." (I like control too. (Control is a illusion to feeling safe.)
I can't wait to read Holley's book. Thanks!
Love it! I don't like "surprises" either and want to know exactly what's before me. But being brave is believing in the unseen and putting faith before me so that I trust and believe that I have the ability to stay calm when I am anxious about unexpected situations before me.
Can't wait to receive the book and start reading it! 🙂
Blessings Mary, 🙂
