I took some time off from blogging during December.  As I am getting back into writing, I wanted to do a year in review.  Here are photos of my 2013.

January 1st found me in New York City.  My sister, Sherri, and her daughter, Tarah, came to visit us for a week. I was with a 19 year old girl…so you must say Yes to the Dress!

Two weeks later found me in Arkansas visiting my parents with Andy and my niece, Tarah joined us from California.  This photo also includes my niece, Rebekah, her husband and 2 children.  The baby was just days old.

February I didn’t travel anywhere and looking through my photos, I realize I didn’t take many pictures either!

The first Sunday in March, John and I made the short drive over to Long Beach Island, NJ to go to church and see how the island looked a few months after Hurricane Sandy.  Here I am on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.

Later that week I flew to California for my sister’s 50th birthday.  Here I am the next Sunday on the shore of the Pacific Ocean.  Notice the difference in clothing!

In April I had the privilege of attending Jumping Tandem the Retreat in Omaha, Nebraska. (The link is for the past retreat, but I hear it might be happening again in 2015!!) I stayed off-site because the retreat center was full.  This was the view from my hotel room.

Jumping Tandem is also where I met Jennifer Dukes Lee and Shelly Miller for the first time in person.  If you don’t read their blogs, then you should!

May found John and I celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Florida Keys and Sanibel/Captiva Island, Florida.  The view from our room in the Keys.

We went kayaking too.

Early June we made a trip to the interior of Maine.  The Moosehead Lake Region. Note the clothing…it was COLD.  Unseasonably cold I was told.

And moose were standing in the road.

Later that month we returned to St. Louis for a wedding.

 In July we got Leroy

And made our annual trek to the beach for the Bonner Family vacation

In August I went back to Arkansas to visit my parents. In September, John and I went to Colorado for a family function then we spent a week in Breckenridge.

I love the mountains in Colorado…

I went back to Arkansas to see my parents in October and later that month to Greenville, South Carolina for the Allume Conference.  Allume allows me to connect in real life with women I have met through blogging. Meet Jacque, Denise, Diane and Susan.  These women have had a hugh impact on my life with their words and their testimonies.

November I stayed home, but there was of course, work to do and Thanksgiving.  December came and with it Christmas, another trip to Arkansas on December 26th.

The year was full of travel and adventure.

And it was full of ordinary, everyday stuff.

And I am thankful for all of it.

This year I am hoping to focus more on my writing and sharing my heart and story with you that are kind enough to read my words.

Blessings to you in 2014….
