For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
He knows the plan and I do not. I continue adding to my gratitude list…
401. a weekend visit with family.
402. basketball games.
403. no traffic issues.
404. safe travel.
405. special phone calls.
406. projects accomplished.
I am joining with the gratitude community at Ann’s place…
Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
Psalm 51:1-2
I was given this book as a gift. I am slowly and thoughtfully reading it and meditating on it. In one meditation, the author points out that humans are not self-sustaining and we were not designed to be, contrary to what the world may say – we cannot do it on our own. Here is the author speaking about the book:
Lord, help me to remember that I am not able to do this on my own, I am not self-sustaining. I need you and your people…that is the way you designed me. Lord, please help me to remember this, especially when I am feeling overwhelmed. Thank you for your blessings…
Thank you, Mary, for sharing your list today. And thank you for sharing about this book by Paul David Tripp. I have been slowly going through his book WAR OF WORDS…God has given him such insight.
Mary, It's so true…we can not do it on our own! We must look to the giver of Grace and the Giver of all true gifts. A beautiful list Mary! blessings ~a
Mary, thank you for connecting with me! We love it here in CO! And my husband and I have taken a couple of trips to Breck…my profile picture with my daughter was taken last spring on a hike there. Pennsylvania looks beautiful too! Thanks for real words about your real world!

Thankful for basketball games, too- and my boy's team finally winning one 🙂
And thankful I have Him and companions like you on this journey- for no, I cannot do this alone!
