“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Matthew 7:7-8
How often do I resist knocking on the door? How often do I miss what He has for me, because I am afraid? Afraid to knock? Afraid to walk the path? Afraid of what is behind the door? Afraid of the UNKNOWN?
Life is full of doors…some opened, some closed. Some close behind us, some close before we get to them, some are stuck and hard to open, some are ajar and we get to peek in before we push them open. Or maybe they are ajar and we get to peek in and turn and RUN.
Whatever the case…I pray you seek His will today. I pray you seek to open the door He has for you.
Lord, give me the courage to open the doors you have for me today. Help me to walk the path and push open the doors you want me to open, give me the wisdom to discern which ones to open and which ones to leave closed. Please be with my friend Dianne and my other friends that need you today.
I hope you have a blessed day. What doors are in your path today?
"Lord, give me the courage to open the doors you have for me today. Help me to walk the path and push open the doors you want me to open, give me the wisdom to discern which ones to open and which ones to leave closed."
Oh, I love this comment you made:
"Lord, give me the courage to open the doors you have for me today. Help me to walk the path and push open the doors you want me to open, give me the wisdom to discern which ones to open and which ones to leave closed."
May that be my prayer today as well.
Have a wonderfully, blessed day!
I read your closing paragraph, courage to go through ~ surrender describes the position for me!
Mary – Just where I am today. Thank you for these encouraging words! For the prayer for wisdom. Nancy
