A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Proverbs 18:24
I have had the privilege of visiting many parts of the United States. From the Great Lakes to the Gulf of Mexico, from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, from Maine to California…I feel I have been blessed. One of my favorite places is Colorado…specifically, Breckenridge, Colorado. I was blessed last week to visit my favorite place and meet two dear friends from Missouri. One of these ladies, Donna, I have known for almost 20 years, our sons are close friends from grade school and even though they went to different high schools, colleges and now live hundreds of miles apart, the boys (now young men) have remained close. The other, Denise, I met almost 8 years ago when we worked together. Have you ever met someone and thought, “can they REALLY be that nice or is this just how they act when you first meet them?” That is the impression I first had of Denise…she is genuine…she really IS that nice.
Denise & Donna
We got to take some walks in beautiful places…
Thank you Denise and Donna for taking the time to meet me in Breck!
Denise does look "that nice" she has a great smile! Glad you have such sweet friends that you were able to spend some time with. Looks like you had fun!
Hey Mary, Looks like you guys had a great time. I'm jealous! (smile)
I've only been to Colorado one time but it was truly one of the highlights of my life–got snowed in at Colorado Springs, planes could not fly and had to take a bus to Denver for my flight out there.
When I got to Colorado Spgs on Fri. afternoon it was 71 and sunny–my husband and I went in to a restaurant and when we came out there were 6 or 7 inches of snow on the ground.
We rented a very small car that would drive in really deep snow–went all over that region of the country–enjoyed a great day at Royal Gorge–we and one other couple (as I remember) were the only ones there–
Someday I hope to go back again–it is a gorgeous place.
Lovely thoughts on friends! I too have some friends that I have made through the years and we have kept track of each other no matter where we have lived. I think friends are such a treasure. Enjoyed your post today. This is my first time on your post. I loved the pictures! Blessing to you and keep on enjoying those precious moments! Here's my link: http://lgwilliams.blogspot.com
