She wants to grow so badly.
She wants her belly to get full. And round.
She wants her skin to stretch and itch.
And he wants it too.
She sees doctors. He sees doctors. She takes shots. She takes pills.
And there is no growth.
Growing up she wanted to be married. To have babies. To have a family.
Years later…she is married and she has a family. A family of two.
Maybe that is all the growing that she will be able to do. But I pray that she finds peace in her growth.
Peace in her heart.
And they grow together in HIS love.

Oh, I can only imagine this kind of pain and longing…. how do people bear such things without the Lord?♥
Dear Mary,
If you truly do these writings in 5 minutes or less, girl, I think you have found your forte.
This is soooooo good!
You captured all human emotions in this short little wiritng.
Beautiful, dear friend.

That is the hard growth- the growth that takes place during the winter when we think nothing is happening. Thanks for writing this- and I agree with the other commenter that said you really are great at this 5 minute thingy. Blessings just stopping through from Lisa-Jo's today.
Oh, dear Mary…how heart felt and beautifully said.
Hugs,

Thank you everybody. As for the 5 minutes…I really do only write for 5 minutes. This one I had to think about for a few minutes before anything came to mind. But once the idea hit, I started the timer and wrote…5 minute friday is really helping me stretch myself.
this is lovely in the longing…great post!
My heart grieves with each woman who desires a child and doesn't have one.
Fondly,
Glenda
