It’s that time again…when I join Lisa-Jo and hundreds of others in writing 5 minutes…unedited.  Yes, I said UNEDITED.

Five Minute Friday

Today’s prompt:  GRACEFUL

GO

I am participating in the Hello Mornings Bible Study.  We are studying 1 Peter and there are small online groups that check in on Twitter or FB as an accountability factor.

You can check out the #hellomornings hashtag.  My small group is #hmeb for hello mornings early bird.

As I read the study and dove into the passages I thought I would get this.  I’ve study the Bible my whole life, spent my life in church…I knew/know what to do.

The comments made my others are so graceful.

And beautiful.

Who knew there was so much truth in a greeting written by Peter?  Or in the closing of his  letter?

I am so NOT graceful in this area.

So, I wait.  I wait for the Lord to speak to me.

I use the online resources suggested and while not a computer dummy, it took me a while to figure out how to use them.

Still…I long to read the words in 1 Peter and glean the deep understanding so gracefully displayed and shared by others.

But…I think that will be a while in coming.  So…I wait.

With patience.
I pray.

I try to learn how to use the tools more effectively.

And I stumble along…tripping, sometimes falling…but always listening.

For the

STOP

still small voice of the Saviour…meeting me in all my clumsy and not so graceful state.

Thank you to my #hellomornings friends and especially the leader for your encouragement.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 46:10

I will sit.

I will be still.

I will dig deep.

I will know that He IS God.

And I will…eventually…get the deep meaning He is trying to show me.
