Today is the day…the final in my Financial Accounting I class. You know, even if I wasn’t having a final tonight, THIS would still be a day He made! He makes every day and gives it to us as a gift. Some days are yucky, others are yummy, some are filled with excitement, others are filled with boredom, some with sadness, others with joy. Yet, He made them…all of them…and the Psalmist says “we will rejoice and be glad IN it.”
Not just get through it, but rejoice IN it. Not just manage, be be glad IN it. Do you see the difference? It was like a light bulb for me today! Max spells it out here.
Thank you, Lord, for today. Thank you for all that it holds…the good and the bad. Thank you for all the blogging friends who have been praying for me that I might recall all that I have studied. I join with them in asking that too. I am not asking for an “A”; I am asking, Lord, that you calm my mind, give me the recall that I need tonight for the test and to help me to not just get through today, but to REJOICE IN IT. Lord, please be with my family, especially my son and my parents. Lord, I ask that you be with my parents and guide the physicians as they care for them. Be with my son as he continues to find his way. Please help him with his job situation. Thank you for the many, many, many blessings you have given me and my family. Thank you for the work you are doing in the lives of those I love.
FYI…I changed my work schedule for this week. I am off today so that I can relax, do a bit more studying and maybe some house cleaning. Gee…what a novel idea that is. I feel I haven’t cleaned since this semester started! That is not completely true…it just feels that way!
Once again, Max Lucado touched my heart today. Check this out…
Will be looking forward to checking back here tomorrow, Mary, to hear how the Lord calmed you and gave you recollection for what you need for this final tonight.
Praying for you!
Good luck on your final tonight, Mary! I am praying.
Father, I lift up sweet Mary to you this day and pray in agreement with her for clarity and recall tonight during her exam. I pray also that she would take this day you have given her and REJOICE in it. In Your name, Jesus, we pray. Amen!
Good luck on your final! How nice to be able to clean house – I am waiting to be off from work to be able to really clean! Love crawling into a freshly made bed with clean sheets. I could do that every night.
That was a great read by Lucado–love his writings!
It is 6:32 here so I am supposing that you are getting ready to take your test or in the middle of it. I am praying for you.
Keep us posted!
Love,
D.
