Return to your rest, my soul,
for the LORD has been good to you.
for the LORD has been good to you.
For you, LORD, have delivered me from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
that I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.
Psalm 116:7-9
Right to the core of my being. That is where these words went.
STRAIGHT. TO. THE. CORE.
It is as if I have been living in a cloud the last few weeks. Going through the motions, but not living the life.
Doing my job, but not enjoying my work.
Cleaning the house (sometimes), but not enjoying the privilege.
Taking a walk, but not being thankful for my feet.
Going the life, but not seeing my mission.
The Lord has been good to me. VERY GOOD. Yes, I miss home and I am tired.
But I am blessed to be in this place, at this time of my life.
And I need to get back to counting and writing down!
676. for a friends invitation to a special Advent service.
677. for my journey.
678. Andy home this year.
679. a husband’s patience.
680. husband holding me when I cry.
681. wood for the fireplace.
682. shelter from the storms.
683. warm clothing for exercise.
684. Sundays at Jumping Tandem.
685. Christmas tree up.
686. Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.
687. still receiving blessings from Relevant.
689. warm slippers.
690. semester almost over.
691. time off work.
692. chance to go back and visit friends.
693. courage to try and call the place I now live “home.”
694. special surprises.
695. using the Internet for His glory.
696. new friends.
697. anticipating blessings.
698. sleep.
699. chance to share.
700. pressing on.
Thank you, Lord, for reminding me that I am OK. That things are going to be OK. For your blessings that number more than the droplets of sea spray.

Awesome post. Thanks for sharing your heart.
I need to work on the last part of #683 =)
It's terrific to meet you! Visiting from Ann's A Holy Experience. I could easily relate to your words – so often I simply go through the motions of life without stopping to appreciate all that I have in front of me. I've decided to stop for the rest of the month, nest in the house, and truly celebrate Advent with my four children. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to returning 🙂
I like all the alliteration going on over here–me, myself, mercy, and Mary. 🙂
I am thankful you are giving yourself some mercy for struggling with being tired and not feeling at home.
I love your list and I want you to know that I think God put you where you are to fulfill his kingdom purposes. Nothing happens by chance and God is up to something in your life right where you are. (Where ever that is! LOL)
I look forward to following your blog to see how it all shakes out!
Thanks for sharing from the heart.
I always love your list and your honesty. Thinking of you today and praying – the Lord is with you.
Santa is bringing me Jesus Calling for Christmas this year. I hear he picked it up at Border's going out of business sale.
