Lord, thank you for so many blessings in my life. Thank you for the life lessons I have learned through this exercise…more than just about thankfulness and gratefulness…lesson about acceptance, finding the good in the “bad” and seeing the joy in normal, everyday activities. Things that I used to take for granted. Lord thank you…for everything.
If you would like to participate in the gratitude community, visit A Holy Experience over at Ann’s place…you’ll be glad you did.
While I was gone last week, Sarah tagged me for my five favorite devotions. After much prayer and thought…I have to confess, that I do not have a real favorite. While I am a member of the Catholic church now, it was not how I was raised so the traditional Catholic prayers are not things I pray on a regular basis. Starting my day with scripture reading reflecting on the daily reading in Billy Graham’s Hope for Each Day book. Music is another way that I connect with the Lord, prayerful songs like those I use on my blog. I find it really hard to list five, but these are two that I use daily.
I hope you have a wonderful day…I am starting my new job today…what are you up to these last days of summer??
Peace & Blessings…

Hope your new job goes well today. Glad you made it home and had a good trip.
I love the gratitude list, seeing God in the daily, common activities of our lives. Joining at Ann's and reading how God is a work all around in others. We serve a BIG God!
May you continue to know His strength… The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Psalm 18:10).
His continued blessings to you & yours 🙂
Okay, this was really good until I got to #249 and then I got really mad and jealous and envious and lost my religion.
I only have one requirement for my next husband–guess you already know what it is–smile!
I give a woohooo for unpacked suitcases AND laundry done.
As always a joy to splash around in thankfulness. Your blog, simply delightful.
Splashin' in His goodness,
Sara
Welcome home, Mary!
Yes, I too am grateful for the lessons I'm learning through this counting of the gifts. And I'm grateful for your sweet blog!
And a husband who cooks and keeps house?!? Golden!!!
Oh, Mary! I am so glad you had a great visit with your sister and your son. It was an adventure getting there for sure but impressive that you can give thanks for spending the night in the airport. I certainly prayed for you while you were traveling.
I am anxious to hear about your new job and how things go for you.
Grace and peace to you, my sweet friend!
