When I was in Colorado a few weeks ago, I took this picture:

I took it one morning on my walk.  I walked up Ski Hill Road in Breckenridge, Colorado.  This was taken overlooking the town.  Then this morning I took this…
from the deck of the beach house we share with John’s sister and her husband.  From the mountains to the ocean…God’s handiwork is so evident all around.  So I add some more to my list…
181. natural beauty all around.
182. sand and seashells.
182. family time.
183. salty sea air.
184. thin mountain air.
185. coffee on the deck in the morning.
What are you thankful for this week?
I found out just before coming on this trip that my current job will probably end Monday or Tuesday of next week.  I won’t start my new job until mid-August.  Do you know what that means?  Well, yes, it means I will have almost a month with no work, which means no MONEY, BUT…it ALSO means…maybe I can get my house BACK. IN. ORDER!!!!!!!!!!  I have really struggled with working 5 days a week…those of you that work full-time, PLEASE do not attack me for that comment!  There is so much that needs done to keep up with the house and when I am gone 5 days a week it doesn’t get done.  Then throw in the weekends out of town and I don’t even want to THINK about how long it might go between cleanings.
God has this great plan that I don’t see.  He has a way of coming in, when I let him, and making everything just great.  But too often, I don’t let him.  I decide that I can handle this, it’ll be OK…it isn’t OK and if I just move over, He will take care of things.  That is what I am trying to do…trust that he will take care of things.  I just need to let him…AND…he IS taking care of things.
Lord, thank you so much for teaching me this lesson.  Please help me to REMEMBER this lesson! I thank you for the many blessings you have given me.  Especially for helping my Dad get better and for the safe travels this weekend.  Thank you for the time we get to spend with John’s family.  Thank you for the beautiful weather…
I hope you have a great day….
