Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12
Sometimes I fail miserably at this faithful in prayer business.  It isn’t that I don’t have my daily prayer time, I do.  But sometimes it is more fruitful than at other times.
It seems that I go through the motions.
I find it hard to concentrate.
I am far from joyful in hope.  And patient in affliction…really?!?!
No, I decide that He might need my help.  I think that maybe I should drive.

And you know what?  He won’t force himself on me.  No, he waits.

Patiently.

He waits for me to realize that I can’t do it.  That I need HIS help.  He DOES NOT need mine.

He is perfectly capable of taking care of everything…without my help.

But he wants me to welcome him into my life.

into my day.
into this very minute.
So I say yes, Lord.

Please…help me to Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

I know you are walking beside me…

Last year at the Relevant Conference (now Allume)  I met a LOT of other Christian women bloggers.  Two of those women were Katie & Stacey.  I am excited about participating in their Write it, Girl community during March.  After all, I AM a writer…or at least that’s what they told us at Relevant!
