And you know what? He won’t force himself on me. No, he waits.
Patiently.
He waits for me to realize that I can’t do it. That I need HIS help. He DOES NOT need mine.
He is perfectly capable of taking care of everything…without my help.
But he wants me to welcome him into my life.
Please…help me to Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
I know you are walking beside me…
Last year at the Relevant Conference (now Allume) I met a LOT of other Christian women bloggers. Two of those women were Katie & Stacey. I am excited about participating in their Write it, Girl community during March. After all, I AM a writer…or at least that’s what they told us at Relevant!

Such a few words in this Scripture but so powerful….I need to ponder my own assessment of these words on my knees…I always find it interesting how He brings just the words I need to hear from some blogging buddy and today that is you….Thank you for being obedient to write what you were instructed….
I checked out the site you mentioned and I find it very interesting….I bet the retreat was powerful…..
This was lovely! What a perfect way to begin the morning! Thanks so much for your fresh and simple message!
I was just talking with the women in my church last Sunday about how I tend to order God around in prayer, like He needs my help.
Excited about this new community. Fancy meeting you here!
oh, I found myself smack dab in your words about him not needing my help. ugh. I do that all the time! how he must roll his eyes and laugh as I'm sooo "helpful"! 🙂
my struggle as well!
Such encouragement that He walks beside us – even when we get in the way. Thanks for the link – going to check it out.
I wish I could have been at that conference. It sounded so wonderful. I'm glad you were able to go and meet Katie and Stacey in person.
I know what you mean about wanting to do better, but knowing it has to be only with the Lord's help. So glad he will help us!
Such practical words.
Fondly,
Glenda
I hope when I go to the conference there will be others I know who I join in their blogs with them.
Looking forward to going in two years, on my 40th anniversary we are combining the conference and a vacation.
God's unrelenting love is truly amazing…especially when he waits for us to realize that we're not in control, and gently leads us back into the proper relationship with Him. 🙂
He's such a gentleman, isn't He?
