Maybe you read this 5 minute Friday post back in August. And, then again, maybe you didn’t. It doesn’t really matter.
What matters is that those 15 women that responded affirmatively to my invitation.
They are showing up tomorrow morning at my house.
For a book study. We are studying this.
If you haven’t read it, then you should. It is great.
That is an affiliate link, by the way.
Anyway, I digress with my 5 minutes.
5 of the women cannot make the first gathering tomorrow so I will have 10. And I hope those 10 show me some mercy.
They will find dust on my coffee table.
If they look hard enough, they will find dust on the piano and the baseboards.
I’ll have the bathroom clean. And I mopped the kitchen floor. I vacuumed the family room.
And I am so nervous I can’t believe it.
But I think that is how God works sometime. He makes us stretch ourselves…no he ASKS us to stretch ourselves. When we do, or when I do, I get all sick at my stomach.
So I wait and I hope that these women show me mercy.
Because I am going to need it!

I recently created an Amazon affiliate link for my blog. If you buy through the link, I will get a small commission, but you do not pay more for the product than you would if you didn’t use my link. I will only link to products with which I am familiar and have used, read, etc. If you have questions, please ask me.
Dear Mary
No need to be nervous, dear friend! Tomorrow will be filled with new mercies! I pray that our Pappa will truly touch your hearts with His truth and grace.
Blessings XX

I love this post! What a great thing it is for you to open your home to these ladies. I feel certain that they will show you mercy. As sisters in Christ, we all need to be shown mercy from our friends.
I pray that you all will have a beautiful time together. Keep shining for Christ!
Praying your study goes well!
This post ministered to me. So often I get the inkling to host something or extend hospitality and then shy away because I think I'll never be able to clean up. I'm worried about the appearance of my home more than the work that could be done for Christ. Your post blessed me. Thank you.
