Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence,
so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
I find myself reading this verse and reflecting on my prayer life.
Confidence can be defined:  full trust; belief in the powers,
trustworthiness or reliability of a person or thing:
We have every confidence in their ability to succeed.
We are being told to approach God’s throne of grace with CONFIDENCE…or with full trust, belief in the powers, trustworthiness or reliability of GOD.

I ask myself, when I pray and share my heart with Him am I really CONFIDENT that He can take care of things or is a piece of my heart hanging on to the human side of me and wondering how I can take care of things?
Lord, help me to approach you with confidence.  Help me to be specific when I talk to you.  Help me to listen more to YOU and listen with an open mind – instead of thinking I really know best.
I took this picture last August while flying east to west in the early morning.  For some reason it seems appropriate today.  The sun just creeping up and touching the cloud…maybe there is hope for me yet…maybe there is a tiny breakthrough in my stubborn brain.  Maybe a tiny breakthrough reminding me that He can handle everything and I need to approach him with confidence and let him know what is truly on my heart.
Lord, I am approaching your throne today with confidence that you can work through the issues that are on my heart.  Lord, the waters seem murky and I don’t know what to do about some of the situations.  So, I am asking you to help me let go, help me let YOU take control.  Lord, please bless my family, especially my parents.  Please comfort them, help them feel better physically and give them peace.  Lord, please be especially with Karen as she has lost her friend, continue to heal Dianne.  Please be with my friend that is feeling overwhelmed and tired.
What about you?  Do you REALLY approach Him with confidence?
