Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me,
not because you saw the signs I performed
but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
Do not work for food that spoils,
but for food that endures to eternal life
which the Son of Man will give you.
For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
John 6:6-27
(emphasis mine)

When I am tired it is harder for me to eat properly.

When I am tired I CRAVE carbs.  Then I eat carbs…and more carbs…and sweets…and more sweets.  And it becomes a vicious cycle unless I make a conscious effort to STOP.

When I am tired and feed my body the wrong (less healthy) foods, then I find that I want more of the less healthy food.

Kind of like…cotton candy.  I am not a big fan of cotton candy, but this I know…

it is SWEET.
it melts in your mouth.
leaves you wanting more.

No, not cotton candy.

Kind of like the carbs I crave when I am tired…they leave me wanting more.

So, I wonder…what kind of food am I feeding my soul?  Is the healthy kind that is LONG-LASTING or the unhealthy that leaves me unsatisfied?

His word is the only real food.  His way is the only thing that will give long-lasting satisfaction.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
His word…His way…is REAL.  And is the only food that endures to eternal life.
