Let me start by letting you know I am typing this on my iPhone and I do not know how well this is going to work! I am still not in California. I missed my last connection before my final destination, in fact, I missed every connection I have had today. Oops, now that would be YESTERDAY! I have spent the night in the Denver airport and should leave in the morning, let’s see…It IS morning! I am supposed to leave in a few hours. I will update you in the next day or so. I think I might even share some travel tips!!
Lord, thank you for a place to rest my weary head and body. Even though I am a bit chilly, I am safe and dry. I graciously ask Lord that I be able to get to California tomorrow in time for my lunch date with Andy, if that is your will. If not, I will accept whatever you send my way. Please be with the families stuck in the airport with small children. Please give the parents patience. Thank you for safe travels thus far.
Guess what Billy Graham’s topic was in my devotional book for yesterday…Patience and Perfection!! Details coming soon….blessings to each of you.

Have a great, safe trip and I hope you get there on time for your lunch!
Oh persevere, poor pilgrim! I do hope you find great cups of hot beverage and nice newspapers along the way!
What an amazing outlook on the path God has for you today. Trusting in His sovereignty…that is the key.
Nice blog.
Oh, Mary, this reminds me of the Christmas my son and his wife and two daugthters got stranded in the Detroit airport for two days. They had a brand new baby who was nursing–no coats–they nearly froze at night–
In fact, I guess they looked pretty pitiful cause a lady came up and placed something in my DIL's hand. It was $100 bill–just about what it cost to feed a family of four for two days in an airport.
They were living on next to nothing that year so the money was a real blessing. They were living far, far away from home and the most heartbreaking part was missing part of Christmas with them.
But they made a memory and now whenever something pretty bad happens, they compare it to that and somehow come out rejoicing.
Praise the Lord anyway. Sure hope you are there by now and having an awesome time.
Love, D.
Praying that you are with your son by now…that you get to keep that lunch date with him today! Grace and peace to you, Mary.
Have a blessed trip.
