Today I am feeling a sense of gratitude…I cannot put my finger on exactly why I feel this way nor why it is different today than other days. Maybe it comes from reading today’s reflection in one of the books I use every day, or maybe it is because I am beginning to work through some emotional issues that have bothered me for some time…I don’t know why, but I am thankful. I feel lighter today. Whatever the reason, it is a good thing to feel this way!
I got an e-mail yesterday from a woman that I have known since she was 9 years old; she was my son’s first babysitter. I moved away from the Midwest a little over two years ago and I haven’t seen her since I moved. She told me she enjoys reading my blog, that it makes her feel a connection to me. In the past week or so, I have had a few others tell me how they enjoy reading the blog and on a few occasions how it has helped them. To those of you that have shared with me…thank you. I am thankful that there are people who take time out of their busy day to read my humble blog. For me, this is my spiritual journal, an outlet for my thoughts. I believe I would write if no one read, but thank you anyway.
So, while I today’s thoughts may be different than many other days, I want to say thank you for stopping by. I really do appreciate it.
A scripture that is on my mind today is Philippians 4:11 “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” (NIV)
I want to share a “feel good” story with you out of St. Louis. Get your tissue and read it here. Here is a video of the shot, if you are interested. I know the coach of this team…he is a CHRISTIAN man, he is a GOOD man, a GREAT father and while I am not married to him, I think he is probably a pretty good husband too!! I am thankful things like this still happen in today’s world.
Have a blessed day! Thank you so much for stopping by…what are you thankful for today?
