A lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path…but only if I open it, read it and digest it.
That is what I try to do in my small little corner of blog world…many times in my life I tried to have daily quiet time and I would usually succeed for a while, but something always caused me to stop…miss a day or two and never get back to it. That happened more times in my life than I care to count or admit, but something about this online spiritual journal has caused me to stick with it this time and for that I am thankful. Since I started this blog, I have posted 75 times…some posts, I feel, are more well written, more meaningful, more something than others, but all are from the heart. I feel compelled to write in this space more for me, than for anyone else. The fact that some people read it is just an extra blessing to me. Once again, here on a Monday, I remind myself that the true light, the true lamp, the true path…is my God’s word and He is who will help me get through my day and this week.
This week, I plan to be here Tuesday and Wednesday, but on Thursday I am going to visit my parents. If you read this, then you know I did not get to go for their birthday celebrations in February thanks to Ole Man Winter. My dad isn’t doing well and at 88, I don’t know how much more time he has, so I am going to visit. Posting from my iPhone may be a challenge, but I am not taking a laptop, so we will see. That said, I will be back home on Wednesday, 3/31 and would hope to post then.
Lord, thank you for a BEAUTIFUL weekend, for the sunshine, the exercise, the prayer groups…all the wonderful blessings you have given me. Thank you for the phone calls from family members this weekend and the chance to talk and catch up. Lord, please continue to be with Andy and help him continue to find the Light for his path. Thank you for the people you sent his way this weekend to help guide him. Please help me as I go to work and face my co-worker whose grandson is dying. Be with that family Lord and be with Katie. Give their families the strength they need. Thank you again for your blessings.
Thanks again for stopping by. Peace and blessings…
