Friday – Woo Hoo!! Two weeks ago yesterday I got 8″ of snow. Yesterday my car thermometer said 68 degrees at 3 in the afternoon!
Did you know that yesterday was National Margarita Day? And there is a National Pizza Day? How about National Toothache Day? Seriously! Check it out here. Don’t forget National Cream Cheese Brownie Day or National Peppermint Patty Day. Who THINKS of these things? I wonder if they get paid to think ’em up???
A few weeks ago I told you that I had ordered some meals from Home Chef. Both of the meals I ordered were delicious and easy to prepare. The order came with large recipe cards, complete with photos, and a notebook to put them in. The recipes were both ones that I could and would prepare on my own. The Korean Pork Tacos were delicious. The Crispy Dijon Chicken was served with green beans and creamy parmesan cauliflower – John thought the cauliflower was mashed potatoes until I told him what it was. It was really delicious!
I think my friend, Robin Dance, is a great writer. She had a guest post at The Consilium the other day. It’s a post about Menopause. It is good. Seriously. You are welcome.
I wrote this post for Deeper Waters this week. It was a hard one for me to write, but I got a lot of interaction.
And I wrote this for GraceTable about my Mom.
On my 25th anniversary (9 years ago) I got an anniversary band with channel set diamonds. I lost it this week.
For two days. Then I found it when I shook out a blanket while making my bed. I can’t put into words how happy I was when I found it. I was so upset about losing it that I could not talk about. Even my closets friends didn’t know.

I recently discovered a treasure trove of Elizabeth Elliott quotes. And I shared this one on Instagram this week.
This one is speaking to me too…
The Word of God I think of as a straight edge, which shows up our own crookedness. We can’t really tell how crooked our thinking is until we line it up with the straight edge of Scripture. ~Elisabeth Elliott
The Bible should be the standard by which we gauge all of our thoughts and actions.
