May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
The emphasis is mine. 🙂 But isn’t that just too cool?!?! Our God of HOPE will fill us with JOY and PEACE as we TRUST and we will have HOPE.
Okay, so I paraphrased just a bit. I think/hope 🙂 you get my message.

If you have been around here for very long, you know that my son moved very far away last year. If interested, look at this, this, and this. Three post from last spring that give background to this post…now, fast forward 8 months…my son is involved in church and a member of a small men’s group. This morning, John and I both had a text from Andy, sent at midnight (our time – much earlier his time) saying “small group was amazing!” I am so grateful to the Lord for the work He is doing in Andy’s life. Andy lost his job last week and may be looking for another place to live soon. I don’t know what “amazing” means, but I know that the Lord is working in this situation. When Andy left last year, I was so hurt and sad and disappointed and the list goes on…but, John, my wonderful husband could see the Lord’s hand in the whole situation. He would remind me of that. Now…I, too, see God’s hand. I couldn’t see it then, but I can see it now. When I couldn’t see His hand, I HAD to trust His heart.
Lord, you are truly amazing. You give me peace when I am troubled. You guide me when I am lost. You shelter me from the storms of life and I PRAISE you, Lord, for the work you are doing in my life and Andy’s life. Thank you, Lord.

It was hard for me to see past my tears 8 months ago, but I HAD to trust HIM and his heart. Thank you, again, Lord.
I hope you are blessed by this video, my friends. Do you find yourself struggling to trust when things aren’t going like you “think” they should?

Life would be so much easier if we could see things in reverse. We just have to trust that God is in control and has that master plan for our life mapped out for us. Praying that Andy will find a new job soon and continue to be in God's will.
Susan, you are SOOOOO right!! We DO have to trust. We cannot see the whole plan.
A beautiful post. Full of wisdom. Thank you, Mary! I pray Andy finds a new job soon- one that is just right for him.
